In July 1812 Oliver Williams arrived in Chicago on his ship, "Friends Good Will," to pick up 99 packs of furs for the American Government. Who the heck was trapping furs here? What Native Americans lived here then? Are there any remnants, names or stories left in Chicago today of those early times?
