I recently learned that the average lifespan for a Chicago street-side tree is under ten years, but that to provide the maximum benefits purported by these: http://www.mortonarb.org/press-room/press-releases/23259-arbor-day-tree-tags-teach-chicagoans-that-every-tree-matters.html, trees need to live to maturity. I know our parks have some huge trees, though, and I was wondering where oldest tree in Chicago is (and how old is it)?
